Фонетические упражнения для вводно-коррективного курса по английскому языку
(на материале пословиц, поговорок, стихотворений)
Практический материал, представленный в подборке, поможет студентам добиться совершенства в английском произношении. Материал содержит фонетические упражнения (пословицы, стихи) для выработки автоматизированных навыков произношения и интонации. Гласная и согласная фонема часто отрабатывается в контрасте, при противопоставлении звуков, т.к. контрастивный метод всегда в большей или меньшей степени учитывался при обучении иностранному языку.
Упражнения разделены на две части. Первая часть – пословицы и поговорки. Они могут представить интерес для отработки произношения как в школе, так и на начальной стадии обучения в вузе. Во второй части помещены стихотворения английских авторов, детские стишки, знание которых будет полезно детям в дошкольных учреждениях. Критерием для отбора пословиц, поговорок и стихов, как универсальной базы для отработки и создания множества автоматизированных речевых навыков, служила частота употребления фонемы.

Произношение английских звуков: парные согласные /d-t/, /z-s/

Поскольку предыдущая статья этой рубрики получила ваше одобрение, мы продолжаем изучать особенности произношения английских звуков 🙂 На этот раз возьмем парные согласные звуки /d – t/ и /z – s/. Давай разберемся, чем они отличаются от русских аналогов и научимся их произносить. Потому что неправильно произнесенная согласная может полностью поменять смысл слова.
Нам, русскоговорящим, может казаться, что вот уж эти звуки абсолютно идентичны нашим /д-т/ и /з-с/. Как же мы ошибаемся: НЕверное произношение этих фонем создает наш типичный восточно-славянский акцент.
Причины ошибок в произношении
- Сами звуки произносятся не так, как наши (другая артикуляция дает иной звук).
- Эти звуки не смягчаются перед гласными переднего ряда, как в русском языке (да-да, они не имеют парного мягкого звука. Вообще!).
- На конце слова эти звуки не оглушаются (редукция звонких согласных – одна из самых распространенных ошибок).
Сегодня мы отработаем каждый пункт по знакомой нашим читателям схеме: сначала теория, а потом практика на специальных наборах слов и скороговорках.
Звуки английского языка в сравнении с русскими: /d – t/
Звук / d / произносится в словах day, did, mad. Существенное отличие от русского /д/ состоит в том, что при произнесении русского звука передняя часть языка прижимается к внутренней поверхности верхних зубов и деснам, а самый кончик языка слегка опущен (произнеси слово “дом” и отследи положение своего артикуляционного аппарата – чувствуешь?).
При произнесении английского / d / тупой кончик языка нужно прижать к альвеолам (бугоркам над зубами) под прямым углом.
Совет: прижимай кончик языка (а не переднюю его часть) к альвеолам (а не к верхним зубам).
Упражнения на звуки английского языка
Задание № 1. Потренируй правильную артикуляцию на следующих словах:
doctor / ˈdɒk.tə r /
middle / ˈmɪd. ə l/
Еще одно важное отличие от русского /д/: согласные звуки английского языка не смягчаются перед гласными переднего ряда (такими как русские и, е, ю и т.д.). Если в слове “диван” мы скажем мягкий / д /, то в слове “did” – звук / d / будет твердым, как скала 🙂
Совет: сначала произнеси согласный (по тем правилам, которые мы выучили выше), а потом уже поднимай среднюю спинку языка для произнесения последующего гласного.
Задание № 2. Потренируйся произносить твердый / d / перед гласными переднего ряда на словах:
digital /ˈdɪdʒ.ɪ.t ə l/

Теперь научимся произносить / t /, что будет довольно просто, поскольку он имеет ту же артикуляцию, что и / d / – мы подносим тупой конец языка к альвеолам под прямым углом.
Но есть еще одна важная деталь – это аспирация звука (или придыхание, как обычно говорят). Подробнее об этом звуке английского языка в видео:
Задание № 3. Потренируй правильную артикуляцию на следующих словах:
table / ˈteɪ.b ə l /
Отмечу еще, что сила придыхания зависит от позиции:
- аспирация будет сильнее перед ударным гласным : tea /tiː/
- слабее перед безударным гласным: water /ˈwɔː.tər/
- в конце слов почти без придыхания: cat /kæt/
- без аспирации после звука /s/: best /best/
Звук / t / тоже не смягчается перед гласными переднего ряда. Так, в слове “тина” мы скажем мягкий русский / т /, но в слове “team” – твердый английский / t /.
Задание № 4. Потренируйся произносить твердый / t / перед гласными переднего ряда:
Парные звуки в английском языке: об отсутствии оглушения
А теперь последняя сложность, которую делят на двоих два этих звука: отсутствие оглушения на конце слова. Для русского человека это очень сложно: “код“ и “кот“ у нас звучат одинаково. В английском языке звонкость звука имеет смыслоразличительную функцию: оглушишь звук – изменишь смысл слова. Классические примеры: bud – but (почка растения – союз “но”), bad – bat (плохой – летучая мышь), kid – kit (ребенок – комплект) и т.д.
Совет: четко проговаривай все согласные звуки в соответствии с правилами чтения. Например, послушай, как произносит слова певица Тэйлор Свифт в песне “Bad Blood”.

Задание № 5. Перед тобой набор слов, оканчивающихся на / d / и / t /. Проговори их в соответствии с транскрипцией, не оглушая звук / d / на конце.

Напоследок отработай несколько скороговорок. Для удобства звук / d / отмечен в них жирным:
- Dan’s Dad is a gooddriver.
- Dolly Dale dances with Davy Dail, Davy Dail dates to Dolly Dale.
- If a doctor is doctoring a doctor, does the doctor doing the doctoring have to doctor the doctor the way the doctor being doctored wants to be doctored or does the doctor doctor the way he usually doctors?

Произношение английских согласных /z – s/
Звук / z / произносится в словах zone, his, rose. От нашего / з / отличается тем, что при произнесении русского звука кончик языка широкий, и находится у основания нижних передних зубов, а воздух проходит через щель между передней частью языка и зубами (произнеси слово “зонт” и проследи за положением своего артикуляционного аппарата).
Для английского звука / z / кончик языка вновь поднимается ближе к альвеолам (но не касается их), и воздух проходит через образованную между альвеолами и кончиком языка щель.
Совет: ставь кончик языка ближе к альвеолам. Обрати внимание, что ты должен чувствовать поток воздуха, идущий прямо вперед, а не в разные стороны.
Учим звуки английского языка
Задание № 1. Потренируй правильную артикуляцию на следующих словах:
Следующий важный момент аналогичен предыдущей группе звуков: / z / не смягчается. Слово “зима” мы произнесем с мягким /з’/, тогда как в слове “zipper” – / z / твердый.
Совет: сначала закончи артикуляцию согласного и только потом поднимай среднюю спинку языка, чтобы произнести последующий гласный.
Задание № 2. Потренируйся произносить твердый / z / перед гласными переднего ряда на словах:
Глухой звук /s/ в английском языке
Артикуляционно он произносится так же, как / z /, но без участия голоса. Отличие от русского / с / такое же – кончик языка поднят к альвеолам, а звук образуется струей воздуха, проходящего через узкую щель между кончиком языка и альвеолами.
Еще одно отличие – звук / s / более сильный и длительный, чем русский: произносится более напряженно, энергично и длительно, особенно в конечном положении: miss.
Совет: ставь кончик языка ближе к альвеолам, и обрати внимание, что английский / s / – более длительный звук, чем русский.
Задание № 3. Потренируй правильную артикуляцию на следующих словах:
Вновь обращаю внимание, что звук / s / не смягчается. Например, слово “сила” произносится с мягким / с /, а “seen” – с твердым.
Задание № 4. Потренируйся произносить твердый / s / перед гласными переднего ряда:

Парные звуки в английском языке: упражнения
Опять повторю о типичной для нас ошибке – оглушать конечный звук и менять таким образом смысл слова: buzz – bus (жужжать – автобус), rise – rice (подниматься – рис). Послушай, как звонко произносит звук / z / Стивен Кертис Чапман в песне “His Eyes”.
